Once again the kids of Mödling are "doing stuff in English!" at the Fire Station. This time helped by "Aunt Sally", Uncle Nigel arranged a tour of the Fire Station on Saturday October 22nd, where Fireman Rich once again very kindly took everyone around the well equipped Station, that is run and manned by volunteers.
Kids and parents from at least 3 continents, speaking many languages between themselves, were drawn together through the common bond of English. Everyone had both a lot of fun, and learned a little more about one of the cornerstones of the thriving Mödling community, some 15km south of Vienna.
The English Room is kindly supported by international organisations such as Daotec Ltd, and local ones such as Nicolas, the Mödling Revue and the Puppet Theatre. With a "home-base" planned at Birgitts KreativHort The English Room is currently looking for more people to get involved. A further example of helping to bring English speaking activities to local people is the newly established Mödling Dragons Rugby Football Club (details here:- http://rugbydragons.blogspot.com/ )
